"Japan Receipt Scan" is a simple scanner app that lets you take a picture of your receipts and invoices with your camera, and then AI digitizes the data and compiles it in Excel—that's all it does.

It's neither a household budget app nor an accounting system. The analyzed data isn't tied to any specific service and can be used directly for all accounting tasks, including expense reporting, tax filing, bookkeeping, and storage.

【One-handed shooting】
Automatic shutter that you simply hold over the receipt. It detects the four corners and automatically crops, and corrects for tilt. Supports continuous shooting, allowing you to quickly process even large stacks of receipts.

【AI analyzes important items】
In addition to date, issuer, amount, tax amount, account, and payment method, it also extracts the invoice registration number (T number). It supports both printed and handwritten receipts (accuracy depends on the selected AI model). AI analysis results can be edited on the spot, and changes are automatically reflected in the Excel file and filename.


[Automatic Renaming in accordance with the Electronic Bookkeeping Law's Search Requirements]
Filenames are automatically converted to include the transaction date, customer, and transaction amount. This makes searching easier later. *Renaming the filename assists in meeting search requirements and does not guarantee that all requirements for scanner storage (ensuring authenticity, etc.) are met.


[Automatic Creation of a Receipt List (Excel)]
Analyzed items are directly transferred to an Excel file. It automatically updates to the latest version each time a photo is taken and analyzed. Before you know it, a receipt list (a ledger of analysis results) is created.

■ Two Ways to Use AI
[Easy Prepaid Method]
Purchase AI analysis tickets as you use them via in-app purchase on Google Play (100 tickets for 150 yen and up). No sign-in or API key setup is required; you can start using it immediately. A trial ticket is included for first-time users. If you want to carry over purchased tickets after changing devices, you can sign in with your Google account (optional).

[API Key Method (Advanced)]
Supports ChatGPT (OpenAI) / Gemini (Google) / Claude (Anthropic) / Grok (xAI). You register and use your own acquired API key. The key is stored only on your device. If your company already has a contracted AI vendor, you can continue to use it.

■ About Pricing
The app itself is free, and there is no subscription. You only pay for the AI ​​analysis. The prepaid method uses in-app purchases on Google Play (100 images for 150 yen to 1,000 images for 1,200 yen), while the API key method involves direct billing from each AI provider. Image transmission is done directly from your device to the AI ​​you choose using the API key method, and via our domestic servers using the prepaid method. In either case, we will not store images beyond the time required for analysis.
