Number Memory: Brain Age Test

Numbers appear on screen in random positions. You get a few seconds. Then they vanish — and you have to tap them in order, smallest to largest. One wrong tap ends the round.

You start with 3 numbers. Most people stall somewhere between 7 and 9. A few reach 20.

When you finally miss, you get a brain age.


HOW THE BRAIN AGE IS CALCULATED

It is not a random score dressed up as science. Three layers:

1. The level you reached sets an age band. These bands come from published norms for the Corsi block test, the standard measure of visuospatial working memory.
2. How many correct rounds you completed at that level places you inside the band.
3. Your tap speed adjusts the result by up to two years in either direction.

The level ceiling is absolute. You cannot inflate your brain age by tapping fast, by grinding, or by playing more often. The number only improves when you genuinely hold more items in working memory.

That constraint is the whole point. A score you can game is a score that tells you nothing.
