Review summary

Users praise iCollect Everything for its powerful cataloging and customization across multiple collections, with useful features for insurance records and easy item tracking. The app is seen as valuable when used for a single category or the whole catalog. However, recurring complaints center on pricing: a hard 15-item limit per category, expensive and opaque paywalls, and separate charges for desktop/web access. Some also report crowd-sourced data inaccuracies and usability hiccups like limited sorting and customizable field management. Overall, functionality is strong, but the pricing model and certain UX issues dampen enthusiasm.
Pros
  • Highly customizable collections and fields
  • Comprehensive item tracking across multiple collections
  • Useful for insurance records and serial-number tracking
  • Supports multiple collections and flexible organization
  • Per-category or whole-catalog pricing can offer good value
Cons
  • 15-item limit per category; you must pay to add more items
  • Expensive and opaque pricing with frequent increases; perceived predatory by some
  • Desktop/web access requires separate premium; cross-device use not included in base plan
  • Crowd-sourced data can be inaccurate or unreliable
  • Usability and data-management issues like inability to sort by item name and limited control over custom fields

USED TO be one of my favorite apps. No longer. I paid full price ($40) for the premium version and now I'm constantly having a subscription service pushed at me. New update changed the search feature so that now it's either bringing up dozens of items I don't want OR my general search returns zero results because they're not the exact title. Also, more than 200 items from my movie library just disappeared, and because I have nearly 5,000 items, I don't know which ones! Enshittificaton is real.

I got this about 2 years ago because it helped me avoid getting duplicates for my movies. I recently paid to unlock everything and was happy with it up until the new update. There is an ad at the bottom telling you to go pro. The new features are nice but it's an additional $80 which seems too much. It is a one time purchase but at this point it seems like a cash grab. I'm gonna move to another app because I don't like the constant ad to go pro and the AI.

this latest update is pure garbage. a permanent ad on my screen to now 'subscribe' to something I already own, plus AI incorporation that no one wants. Do not use this app, keep looking.

July 15, 2026: Latest update now includes AI +4 layout options. None are text-only; app lags when browsing quickly with bookshelf. Collapse feature works best on books sorted alpha by author's last name, tedious for movies. Not my favorite update, 3 stars. 2025: This app helps me avoid multiples. There are a few nitpicks I have when it comes to certain aspects, but I can survive. 5 stars.

******UPDATED****** So a few years back they updated the app and it worked great. Now 2026 they've updated again and even though I have paid to unlocked the movie section, they've added a stupid easy to press button at the bottom of the app,and that button is a glaring bright yellow button offering a pro account. why to naff up an app guys. I get you want people to subscribe, but does it have to be on all the time.

Even after paying $60 for the categories the developer still decided to clutter my main shelf screen with this new update with an unremovable "Unlock all features. Go Pro!" advertisement that costs $160 a year. How greedy can you get?
