Can't Beat It For The Price. You get what you pay for...and in this case, the value exceeds the technology. Yes, it will ask for permissions..... anytime you plug something into that USB-C port, there are going to be permissions. It is a video and still camera, so asking for audio is expected, even when there isn't one. This cost me $9.99 on Amazon...and the value is somewhere near the $40-$50 price range. If you need a professional, or top shelf one.... this isn't for you.

BAD. with app instld, every time I connect anything, it keeps asking me permission to access my camera. There is not a " don't ask again" option. There is only "Cancel", "OK" or allow forever. this is super annoying to just charge my phone now, EVERTIME I PLUG IN. the app does not have any settings to prevent it either. UNINSTALLED.
