Document translation:

Create long-running tasks for TXT, Markdown, basic text-based PDF files, and webpage links. Local documents are processed on this device. Text-based PDFs can be translated into readable output; scanned or image-only PDFs require OCR and may not be supported.

Privacy:

HyTranslate is designed for local-first translation. Typed text, local documents, task records, settings, glossary entries, and history are stored locally on your device. Web link translation uses network access only to fetch the webpage URL that you enter.

Free and Pro:

The free tier includes selected common language pairs. HyTranslate Pro unlocks broader language access, translation styles, custom glossary terms, unlimited history, and favorites.

Important notes:

- Translation quality depends on language pair, device memory, and document structure.
- The app is larger than typical translator apps because the local AI model is bundled for offline use.
- Web link tasks are not fully offline because they need network access to fetch the selected page.
