It helps users manage their time more consciously by displaying timers and visual feedback on the screen when using apps that are easy to use for extended periods, such as Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.

Be Aware aims not merely to limit app usage, but to help users directly recognize their time usage and build better digital habits.

[AccessibilityService API Usage Guide]

Be Aware uses the Android AccessibilityService API to help users adhere to their self-set smartphone usage goals.

The AccessibilityService API detects when a user has entered a selected app or short-form screen and is used to display guidance overlays, waiting screens before entering apps, reminders to stop use, and goal confirmation screens based on the goals set by the user.

Be Aware does not read or store user input via the AccessibilityService API, nor does it collect passwords, message content, financial information, or private conversation content.

This permission operates only when the user has manually enabled it, and users can disable accessibility permissions at any time in Android Settings.
