Apoapsis · Rocket Flight Sim

Build a rocket from parts, launch it, and fly it to orbit. Then plan a transfer burn, cross into a moon's sphere of influence and try to land softly. A ready-to-fly rocket is loaded when you start.

BUILD
• Parts catalog: command pod, four fuel tank sizes, three liquid engines, solid boosters (including radial pairs and fours), fins, parachute, landing legs, RCS, launch escape and decouplers
• Assign parts to stages; the builder shows delta-v per stage
• Four preset rockets, from a sounding rocket to a moon ship
• Save your own craft designs

FLY
• 3D flight view with a navball
• Gravity falls off with altitude, and the atmosphere adds drag
• SAS modes: prograde, retrograde, stability hold and maneuver
• Autopilot flies the ascent from the launch pad, and the landing near a moon
• Time warp, staging, parachutes, abort and RCS translation for fine approaches
• On-screen touch buttons for throttle, pitch, yaw, staging, SAS and warp

PLAN
• Map view with your predicted orbit, including the path past a moon
• Maneuver nodes with prograde, normal and radial sliders
• One-tap transfer planning to either moon
• A target station to rendezvous and dock with

MISSIONS
• 11 missions with rewards: from a 50 km hop and crossing 100 km, to first orbit, moon flybys, orbits and landings, a safe return home, rendezvous and docking
