COMMON QUESTIONS

Does the camera record me?
No. Frames are analysed on your phone as you pray and immediately discarded. Nothing is written to storage, and the app has no server to send anything to.

Do I need internet?
Not for praying. Once Ar-Rayyan knows where you are, your salah times, the Qibla direction and the rakat counter all work offline.

Will it drain my battery?
The camera runs only while the rakat tracker is open. Nothing else runs in the background except the prayer alarm itself.

Which prayers can it count?
Any of them — Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, Sunnah, Witr, Tahajjud and Tarawih. You choose the number of rakats before you begin.

Is it really free?
Yes. Completely free, with no ads and nothing to buy.
