Niyyah: Muslim Marriage

Niyyah is for people who are looking for marriage and would rather say so.

You state your intention up front — marriage within a year, marriage without a rush, or getting to know people first. So does everyone else. Nobody has to guess what the other person is doing here.

HOW IT WORKS
Build a profile: your first name, age, city, a few honest sentences, your intention, and how you practise. Add up to six photos if you want to. Then browse one person at a time and choose to connect or skip.

When you both choose to connect, you match and you can talk. That is the only way a match happens here.

MATCHING IS RECIPROCAL, AND THAT IS THE POINT
No algorithm decides you two should meet. No amount of money makes someone like you back. A paid tier raises your daily limit and lets you see who liked you first — it does not buy anyone's attention, and we will not pretend otherwise.

EVERY PHOTO IS SEEN BY A PERSON FIRST
A photo you upload is invisible to everyone else until a human reviews and approves it. Your own profile shows you exactly where each one stands. It is slower than an automatic filter. It is also the reason the app does not fill up with things nobody wants to see.

NO FAKE PROFILES SENDING YOU LIKES
Some apps pad an empty app with accounts that flirt with you to sell you an upgrade. We do not, structurally: profiles that are not real people have no account and cannot like, match or message anyone. If someone connects with you, it was a person.

FOR MUSLIM FAMILIES
An optional guardian (wali) contact on your profile, shown only after you both connect. Practice level as a field, not an assumption. Intention first, in a place where saying "I am looking to marry" is the normal thing to say.

SAFETY
Report and block on every profile and every conversation — reporting also blocks, so you stop seeing them immediately. Reports go to a person, oldest first. Minimum age is 18 and the app enforces it.

WHAT IT COSTS
Niyyah works without paying: 20 connections a day, and you can message everyone you match with. Plus and Gold raise the limit and add convenience. Subscriptions are billed by Google Play, renew until you cancel, and are cancelled in Google Play — not hidden behind a support email.

DELETING EVERYTHING TAKES TWO TAPS
Settings, Delete account and data, confirm. Your profile, photos, matches and messages are gone for good. Not deactivated. Not archived.

WHAT WE DO NOT DO
No advertising. No analytics SDK. No location tracking — your city is a text box you fill in. No selling anything to anyone.

A NOTE ON WHAT TO EXPECT
Niyyah is new. In a city where few people have joined yet, the deck will be short. We would rather tell you that than pad it out.
