Kinlyo

Kinlyo is designed for parents and guardians who want to better understand their child throughout their growth journey.

Instead of asking parents to review every piece of content their child has interacted with, Kinlyo turns important family-connected signals into simple, meaningful reports: what your child cared about today, which themes appeared often, what may be worth noticing, and how parents can start a more natural conversation with their child.

With Kinlyo, parents can:

View an overview of each child’s daily activities and key themes.
Follow daily reports generated from family-connected data.
Understand a child’s interests, concerns, and development trends over time.
Receive conversation prompts to connect with their child more naturally.
Check the safety and connection status of each child profile.
Set up parent-approved protection rules such as app limits, rest schedules, and extra-time requests.

The Android version of Kinlyo supports both Parent Mode and Child Mode. Parent Mode is used by parents or guardians to view child profiles, reports, activity summaries, and family protection settings. Child Mode is set up on a child’s Android device only after the device is paired with a parent account and after in-app permission disclosures are shown.

Kinlyo is built around the idea of “understanding first, protecting better.” The app does not replace direct parental care. Instead, it gives parents more context to listen, understand, and support their child at the right time.

Child-device permissions are used only for family safety, child activity summaries, and parent-approved protection features. Kinlyo does not use child-device data for advertising or marketing.

AccessibilityService API disclosure:
Kinlyo uses the Android AccessibilityService API only in Child Mode after a child device has been paired with a parent account and after a prominent in-app disclosure is shown. Kinlyo is not an accessibility tool and does not claim to support users with disabilities.

Kinlyo uses AccessibilityService to collect supported foreground app activity, visible screen text such as video titles, page views and taps in supported apps, other app actions, and device or other identifiers such as the paired child device ID. This data is used to create parent safety summaries, show app activity in the parent dashboard, and apply parent-approved app limits and rest schedules. AccessibilityService data is shown to the paired parent account and is not used for advertising or marketing.

Usage Access disclosure:
Kinlyo may request Usage Access in Child Mode to summarize which apps are used and for how long on the child device. This helps parents understand screen time and configure rest schedules or app limits.

Microphone disclosure:
Kinlyo may request microphone access in Child Mode only for supported video activity, if the family enables this feature. Audio-related data is used to create safety insight metadata for the paired parent account and is not used for advertising.

Foreground service disclosure:
Kinlyo may use a foreground service in Child Mode to keep parent-approved protection rules active on the child device. A visible notification is shown while protection or syncing is active.

Kinlyo is intended for transparent family use with consent. Child Mode setup requires parent-guided pairing, clear permission disclosures, and Android system permission approval.
