VoiceAlerts watches your Gmail for transaction emails from your bank, credit card, and payment apps, and reads them aloud the moment they arrive. A charge goes through, and you hear it. No app to open, no inbox to dig through, no notification to squint at while you're driving, cooking, or walking.

BUILT FOR SPEED

Most email-based alerts wait on a slow background check. VoiceAlerts uses two paths at once: the instant your Gmail app receives mail, we sync — and a backup poll runs on a schedule you control, catching anything Gmail decides not to announce. Bank mail that lands in Promotions or Updates still gets read. You get speed and coverage, not one at the expense of the other.

The service is engineered to stay running: it survives reboots, app updates, aggressive battery managers, and the OEM shutdowns that quietly kill other alert apps.

YOUR EMAIL NEVER LEAVES YOUR PHONE

This is the part we take seriously.

• Every email is parsed on-device. Bodies are never uploaded anywhere.
• There is no server. VoiceAlerts has no backend that could store your mail.
• Nothing is kept but the parsed result — amount, merchant, type. Raw email is never written to disk.
• Your transaction history is stored encrypted on your device, with a retention period you set.
• We request exactly one Gmail permission — read-only — and nothing more.

VoiceAlerts uses read-only Gmail access solely to find transaction emails and read their amounts aloud. Your email content is not transmitted, sold, or shared with anyone, and is not used for advertising or any purpose other than the announcements you asked for.
