Tairu Maps is a collaborative geospatial platform for creating and sharing expeditions, real-time location tracking, and coordinating field teams.

📵 WORKS WITHOUT INTERNET
• Download a map area to use offline: this includes visible layers — the Background Map in use, including satellite imagery, and Geoimage Services (WMS/WMTS) — plus terrain altitude
• Offline routes: download the roads and rivers in your region and calculate the route without any signal
• Offline maps with TairuDB, GeoPDF, and GeoTIFF files
• Data automatically synchronized upon reconnection*
• Manual and automatic local backup, with restore

📍 LOCATION AND TRACKING
• GPS tracking with track history, which continues in the background and with the screen off
• Adjust position capture by time and distance traveled
• Location sharing and visualization of active members on the map*
• Long press on the map shows the coordinates and altitude of the location — tap the coordinates to copy them

🧭 NAVIGATION
• Navigate to any element on the map
• Point-to-point navigation: create a sequence of destinations, automatically advance upon arrival at each one, and receive arrival alerts via sound and vibration, even with the screen off.
• River and land routes: calculate distance and path along the riverbed or roads, with offline calculation option.
• Geographic or magnetic north, with declination calculated for your location.
• GPS and compass screen; Open the destination in Google Maps, Waze, or another navigation app.

🗺️ COLLABORATIVE EXPEDITIONS
• Create expeditions and draw points, lines, polygons, and circles
• Records with photos, types, situations, and custom icons
• Organize records into groups and subgroups
• Automatically plot photos on the map using the image's GPS coordinates
• Route profile on any line or polygon — drawn, imported, or from Geoservices — with elevation and, when available, speed
• Share with your contacts and see changes in real time*

🛰️ LAYERS AND GEOSERVICES
• Ready-made or customized background maps (XYZ and vector tiles)
• WMS/WMTS/WFS Geoservices, including authentication, with cache for offline use
• Shortcuts to open public services, by theme: fire and deforestation (INPE), federal environmental database (IBGE, FUNAI, IBAMA, ICMBio), Aviation (DECEA), Meteorology (NOAA, DWD, NASA GIBS) and State data
• Filter vector layers by attribute and see only what matters on the map
• GRG grid and contour lines

📂 IMPORT AND EXPORT
• Import KML, KMZ, GPX, GeoPackage, GeoPDF, GeoTIFF and TairuDB
• Large files can be entered as read-only layers, without becoming thousands of records
• Export in KML, GPX or GeoPackage, with attributes and symbology (opens in QGIS)
• Tairu Package: send complete records, with photos, to another person or another expedition — opens offline
• Integration with QGIS via the TairuDB plugin

💬 INTEGRATED CHAT*
• Group chat by expedition and individual chats
• Push notifications, even with the app in the background
• Report messages and block users in the conversation itself

🔔 ALERTS AND TEAMS*
• Create and receive alerts • Geolocated, with notifications for all members
