Features & Capabilities

Locked SMS is a privacy-focused Android SMS app that helps protect text communication with hybrid RSA and AES encryption. Exchange public keys with contacts, send encrypted messages, and keep private keys securely on the device. Because it uses the SMS protocol, Locked SMS does not require an internet or data connection and does not store or back up user data externally.

The app can work as your default SMS application or alongside your existing messaging app. Additional features include timed self-destruct messages and encrypted file sharing over MMS, currently in beta and dependent on carrier support. The Pro upgrade adds fingerprint or PIN authentication, panic/duress mode for wiping app data, and screenshot blocking. Users maintain control over whether messages are encrypted, retained, decrypted, or deleted.

User Reviews

great and easy to use app that keeps me assured no one can see my messages. better than signal app in my opinion as this doesn't use data so is free sms and can be used without Internet and cellular connection. highly recommended when wanting to stay "under the radar"

Awesome! Finally a way to maintain privacy when chatting with buddies! Too many other apps that monitor everything you do. Not this one!!! Simple and Great!!!!!
