CameraReal is a camera app for people who want their photos and videos to stay trustworthy—from capture through sharing online. It is built so your sensitive details can stay under your control, not only on your phone but also after they leave it.

Capture with confidence
Take photos and videos in the app. Each shot can carry built-in proof that it really came from this app and this device, so you can check authenticity later instead of guessing.

Your library, your control
All captures live in My real shots. Open any file to see details, verification status, and metadata. Sign in to sync your library and account data across sessions.

Privacy and security you can understand
When you turn on privacy mode, sensitive information—such as location or how you were connected—is encrypted on your device before it is stored or sent. You choose which fields to protect. Only you can unlock them with your passphrase on a device that still has the right app keys.

Important points in plain terms:

End-to-end protection for private fields — What you mark as private is encrypted for upload and storage. The service receives encrypted data, not readable copies of your location or other protected details.
The server cannot decrypt your private content on its own — It does not hold the keys that unscramble your protected information. Decryption happens on your phone, after you prove who you are with your passphrase.
Keys stay tied to your device — Core protection uses keys stored in your phone’s secure storage. If you uninstall the app or wipe its data, those keys can be lost and old protected content may no longer be openable—by design, so others (including the service) cannot simply pull keys from the cloud and read your private fields.
Optional cloud recovery — If you enable it, a separate recovery path can help you restore access on a new or reset device, but only with your passphrase. That backup still does not give the service a way to read your private fields without you.
Stronger account security — Optional two-step verification (authenticator app) helps protect your account when changing security or privacy settings.
Share your work
When you are ready, upload finished pieces with a title, description, tags, and theme. Public viewers see your work and its authenticity signals—not the private fields you chose to encrypt. Track uploads in Upload tasks.
