chigusa - ideas in 0 seconds

A notepad for planting "seeds of ideas" in seconds.

The moment a thought arrives, deciding where to save it is enough to lose it. chigusa puts organizing off until later: you bury the undifferentiated fragment first, and deal with it when you dig it up.

■ Plant

• No titles, no folders, no tags, no destination to pick.
• Write, tap "plant", and the seeds pile up.
• The field clears and keeps focus, so you can pour thoughts in one after another.
• No account required. Seeds live in a database on your device.

■ Dig up

• Full-text search (SQLite + FTS5) to find what you buried.
• A timeline, plus a random order that surfaces buried seeds.
• Seeds can be edited at any time.
• Bundle seeds into "beds" — not to organize them, but to gather them before sending them out.

■ Observe

A tab for looking, not scoring. No streaks, no goals, no red badges.
• Overview: a calendar heatmap of your sowing rhythm
• Trend: a monthly graph of the months seeds rained down
• Scatter: seeds with a location, scattered on a blank field
• Garden: a quiet tally of what you planted, searched and sent out

■ Send seeds out

chigusa is not the end of the line. Grown seeds get transplanted elsewhere.
• Copy one seed, or a selection, to the clipboard
• Export a selection to a new Markdown file (via the OS share/save dialog)
• Append to an existing Markdown file, so a theme's md keeps growing
• Exported seeds are archived automatically and leave the pile

■ Gentle nudges (optional)

• Sowing notifications ask "anything felt off lately?" at a random time inside the window you choose
• Unearth notifications hand you a single old seed
• Both let you set frequency and time window, and ignoring them costs nothing. No streaks, no completion rates

■ Display

• Dark mode (light / dark / follow system)
• English and Japanese (follows the system language, or pick one in settings)

■ Ads and subscription

• Free to use, with a modest banner ad.
• Watch a rewarded video and ads stay hidden until 5 a.m. the next morning.
• Subscribe and ads are hidden entirely.
• Planting, searching, beds, observing and sending out are all free.

■ Privacy

• Location is opt-in. Turn it on and each seed also records where it was planted (latitude/longitude), so you can trace where a thought came from.
• The location stored on a seed stays on your device and is never sent anywhere.
