Pros

The Gatekeeper's performance is well-received by some players.
Once the app is set up correctly, it can provide a fun gaming experience.
Some players appreciate the nostalgia and the return of the Atmosfear franchise.

Cons

Frequent server errors, disconnects, and malfunctions.
Inconsistent timer functionality, often starting at random times lower than 60 minutes.
Poor audio and video syncing during gameplay, especially when casting to a TV.
Limited content and repetition in the Gatekeeper's segments.
Depiction of the Gatekeeper using CGI instead of a live actor is seen as a downgrade.

App unfortuntely doesn't work- which I am so gutted about as someone who loved the original game! The timer starts at seemingly random points (but never more than a curtailed 40 minutes), sometimes AI doesn't move when speech is playing, interruptions are way too frequent in the late game. I really hope that the dev makes some upgrades to the app! It could be a great little game

Awful. I'm a huge fan of the original VHS Spears game and this is nothing like that. This is £20 for the U.K board game (2019 version) The app keeps stopping to load and can sometimes take a few minutes before it moves on. The original was a 60 minute race. This is a complete waste of time and money and an insult to the original Spears game. It's also bad CGI not an actual actor. Avoid.

Somehow less options then the DVD. I have the 2004 edition (or whichever has the purple guy) but I decided using the app would be a fun switch up (knowing this may make time cards not match up). We found in 2 games we got A LOT of repeating segments from the gatekeeper (roll as he calls out numbers came up 4 times in 2 games!, Chosen one text was the exact same for the 2 games, even the jokes). The app felt like a good way to make a big catalogue of difference, but this flopped. Use the DVD!
