Carte Sonore: AI Voice Notes

Record a voice note. Carte Sonore transcribes it and gives it a title on your phone. The first action is simple: tap “Record a sound”, speak, then tap again to stop.

YOUR VOICE STAYS PRIVATE
Unlike cloud transcription services, Carte Sonore runs its artificial intelligence on your phone. No account and no data sent anywhere: your audio, transcripts and notes stay on your device. The transcription model ships inside the app, so recording, playback and transcription work offline from the first launch. Optional, more accurate models download only when you request them.

ON-DEVICE TRANSCRIPTION
• A transcription model is included: recordings can be transcribed with nothing else to download
• More accurate models are optional and download once from Settings
• Karaoke-style synced transcript: the text highlights as the audio plays

ORGANIZE YOUR RECORDINGS
• Folders by theme: drag a recording onto a folder to file it
• Merge several takes into one combined recording — continuous playback, unified transcript, split it apart again at any time
• Search across titles and transcripts, with a clear visual waveform

VOICE NOTES BUILT FOR THE FIELD
• Tap once to record hands-free; tap again to stop
• Optional hold-to-record gesture for quick voice memos
• Real-time VU meter, up to 10 min per take (auto-stop)
• Export your entire library as a ZIP, whenever you decide
• Dark mode and 9 languages switchable in Settings: English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Greek, Turkish, Portuguese and Polish
• Screen-reader labels, adjustable playback position and large touch targets

FREE, NO ADS OR TRACKING
The app is completely free. No ads, no tracking, no subscription, no credits — and no sign-up.

Perfect for voice notes: ideas on a walk, meetings, lectures, interviews, voice journaling, field memos — anything worth finding again someday, written out word for word.
