RISING Storytellers

RISING Storytellers is a platform to encourage adolescents from across the country to share their stories and voice their opinions on a variety of gender issues including child marriage, power of education, violence and biases, dreams and aspirations, environmental challenges among others. Using the power of storytelling, GR Storytellers is a safe space and opportunity for you to share your thoughts in your own words in short or long-form stories format.

It is a well-known fact that stories are a powerful way to inspire and create ripples of change, more so, when these stories reflect real world experiences. Through the application, we would like to help motivate and empower adolescents from various sets of life to reimagine possibilities and dream big for themselves by breaking away from traditionally accepted norms.

Some features of the application include:

• Upload videos of yourself and your amazing stories.
• Access to all Girl Rising film stories from the critically acclaimed film released in 2015.
• Explore videos on different themes from your peers
• Be inspired by young people like yourself voicing their thoughts and opinions.
• Watch endless videos and stories and save the ones you like.
• Video of the week feature to help curate and showcase the best videos
• Ease of download, favouriting and sharing videos with your friends and family.
• Small application size to help you maximise on faster download, faster easier network connection and save on storage space!

The GR Storytellers application is available both in Hindi and English.
