I love Heptabase. it has some frustrating limitations at times, but the open sandbox design with easy-to-use tools more than makes up for the lack of features. if you want to just start researching and dumping data, you don't need to design an elaborate database or tagging system. you can just organize your info into organized messes and then construct relationships, tables, or more as you go. The journal and embeds are amazing. big problem with the app is consistent crashing and freezing.

Everything with this app was acceptable, and the trajectory was improvement. For unknown reason on my pixel 6a, and the latest Android, when sharing say, a web page to Heptabase app, it shows up with an empty screen and fails. I hope they fix this soon, I'm now contemplating going back to Logseq. I would have stayed there except for Pixels do not have SD cards to save large cashe of files and Logseq needs a local drive on which to hold everything. I sure am stuck!
