WHY SALAT LIGHT IS DIFFERENT

Your location never leaves your phone. Prayer times and Qibla direction are calculated entirely on your device from your GPS coordinates. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Does it work without internet? Yes. Once your location or city is set, prayer times, Qibla, and the Hijri calendar are all calculated on your device, no connection required.

Will ads interrupt the athan? No. Ads are suppressed in the window around every prayer time, including banners.

Does the app track my location? No. Your GPS coordinates are used once, on your device, and never uploaded anywhere. There is no account and nothing to register.

What if I deny the exact-alarm permission? The app still runs, but for the athan alarm to fire at the exact minute, especially with battery optimization on, Android's exact-alarm permission needs to be granted. Salat Light walks you through it once during setup.
