My Avian Archive

My Avian Archive is a simple checklist and progress-tracking app for birds you have personally found. It was created by avian enthusiasts who found that other useful birding apps were not always guided by simplicity. The creators wanted a simple way to find birds and mark them off a list.

My Avian Archive serves a specific purpose: to know what birds are out there, how many you have found, and how many you have left to find, while giving you a sense of accomplishment by showing the percentage of birds you have personally located.

Imagine having a paper checklist and simply marking birds off as you find them. That is what this app is for: the sense of accomplishment that comes from crossing items off your list.

The current iteration of the app is Florida-first and built around a carefully hand-curated Florida checklist, cross-checked against major ornithological society lists and official wildlife checklists. Each bird includes a photo and details as added flavor, but the core purpose remains simple checklist progress. Planned expansion to all 50 states and additional features are already in the works.

Create an account or sign in to save your checklist progress. Mark birds found, review what is still left to find, and see your overall progress as your personal archive grows. Your saved found-bird progress is connected to your account, so you can return to your checklist after signing back in.
