Your government IDs, bank details, cards, passwords, vehicle papers and private notes shouldn't live on someone else's servers. With Kamui they don't. Everything sits inside a single encrypted file on your own device, locked behind one passphrase that only you know.

FEATURES

• Photo attachments — scan an ID or document with the camera, or pick one from your gallery. Images are encrypted inside the same vault file, never left loose on disk.
• Secret Message — encrypt a note under its own passphrase and send the resulting block of text through any chat app. Whoever you send it to opens it in their Kamui.
• Multiple vaults — keep personal, work and family separate
• Linked entries — a card knows its bank account, a registration certificate knows its vehicle
• Merge from a file — bring another copy of a vault up to date, and review every change before anything is applied
• Custom fields on any entry, amounts with currencies, search, undo, drag to reorder
• Back up, export or share your encrypted vault
• Optional LAN dashboard — view and edit your vault from a browser on your own Wi-Fi, without giving anything to the internet. Off unless you start it.

SECURITY

• Argon2id key derivation and XChaCha20-Poly1305 authenticated encryption, via libsodium
• Optional fingerprint unlock
• Auto-lock after a period of inactivity, or the moment the app goes to the background
• Clipboard auto-clear for copied passwords and numbers
• Block screenshots and hide the app-switcher preview
• Your passphrase is never stored and never sent anywhere. It also cannot be recovered — if you lose it, nobody can open your vault, including us.

PERMISSIONS, AND WHY

• Camera — used only when you tap "Take Photo" to attach a document scan. Kamui works perfectly well if you never grant it.
• Fingerprint — used only if you switch on biometric unlock.
• Network — Play lists this because of the optional LAN dashboard, which stays off until you start it and only ever talks to devices on your own Wi-Fi. Kamui has no servers, sends no telemetry, and makes no requests of its own. It never needs an internet connection. Nothing leaves your device unless you export, share or start the dashboard yourself.

WHY OFFLINE MATTERS

Cloud services are convenient, and they are also a target — breaches expose millions of records every year. Because Kamui stores nothing online, there is nothing to hack remotely, nothing to leak, and nothing to track.
