Hamba Ride

Hamba Ride helps passengers request nearby taxi pickups and helps taxi drivers see live passenger demand around them.

Passengers can:
- Request a taxi from their current location
- Add a destination
- Add passenger count, an optional fare offer, and urgent pickup status
- See nearby taxis on the map
- Receive alerts when a driver is heading their way

Drivers can:
- See nearby passenger pickup requests
- View destination and request details
- Mark that they are heading to a passenger
- Share when they are waiting for passengers and where they are heading
- Use map search and routing tools to plan pickups

Hamba Ride is designed for South African taxi users and drivers who want a faster way to connect around pickup demand.

The app uses location permission to show nearby taxis, passenger requests, destinations, and routes. Notification permission is used to send pickup-related alerts, such as when a driver is heading to a passenger.

Hamba Ride is a technology platform. It does not operate taxis, employ drivers, guarantee pickups, set fares, or provide transport services directly.
