Halflight — The Listening Room

Halflight is a small room for sound — a library of ambient loops, built to run quietly in the background while you fall asleep, work, or just want the world a little further away.

No feeds, no streaks, no "how did you sleep" surveys in the morning. Open it, pick a sound, set a timer if you want one, and close your eyes.

The library
Rain, ocean, wind, fire, a fan, a heartbeat, wind chimes, vinyl crackle, and more — each one built to loop forever without a seam you can hear. A handful are open from the start. The rest are held behind a single purchase.

One purchase. Not a subscription.
$6.99, once. That unlocks every sound in the library, permanently. No monthly fee, no trial that quietly starts billing, nothing to remember to cancel. We'd rather ask for a fair price up front than ask for a little bit forever.

Built to be left alone
- Works fully offline — no internet permission, no server round-trip
- No account, no login, no sign-up screen
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking
- Dark by default, easy on the eyes at 2am
- Sleep timer with custom durations, from a quick nap to a full night

A note on the sounds themselves
Every sound in Halflight is generated, not recorded — built in real time from the same techniques sound designers have used for decades, tuned by ear until they hold up on a long night. That means no seams, no seasonal loop fatigue, and a tiny app: the whole sound library is a rounding error in size next to a folder of audio files.

If you've been burned by an app that started free and turned into a monthly line item, Halflight is built the other way around: pay once, keep it, no further asks.
