Can't get my Samsung watch linked to app.. is anyone else having this issue?

Syncing Issues!!! Google Fit is not syncing properly so I have to manually submit my steps at the end of each month to get credit for steps earned. It's not a huge deal but it's super annoying that it says it is synced properly but doesn't pull the information over.
