Volume Control Full Range Key

WHO NEEDS THIS KEY: only installations of Volume Control: Quiet Dial from Google Play made after its version 1.5.0 was released. If you installed that app before then, you keep the complete app at no charge, permanently, and this key adds nothing you do not already have: buy it only if you want to support the app. If that free access did not reach a new phone or a reinstall, write to the developer instead of buying.

This app is the paid unlock for Volume Control: Quiet Dial. On its own it does nothing else, and it is not useful without that app installed.

WHAT IT DOES

Volume Control: Quiet Dial lets you set your Android volume in fine steps, including steps below your device's built-in minimum, using a small floating dial. From version 1.5.0, the first seven days after you install that app are the complete app, with nothing held back.

This key is one way to keep it working after those seven days; from version 1.6.0 of that app you can also buy the same unlock inside it, through Google Play's purchase window, and you never need both. One payment, once, and the whole range stays open on this account, with nothing to renew: volume control across the normal range, and seven quiet steps down to 30 dB below the system minimum, for listening late at night, in a quiet room, with sensitive headphones, or next to someone who is asleep.

Nothing here renews. There is no subscription and nothing to cancel.

HOW IT WORKS

Buy it, install it, done. There is nothing to set up, no code to enter, no account to create and no sign-in. The main app simply notices that the key is present on the device and opens the full range.

RESTORING IT LATER

New phone, factory reset, or a reinstall: install this key again from Google Play with the same Google account. Google Play remembers the purchase and will not charge you twice. That is the whole restore process.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO

No ads. No tracking. No analytics. No accounts. It requests no permissions at all, and it has no internet access, so nothing about you is collected or sent anywhere. It is under 100 KB.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Install Volume Control: Quiet Dial first and live with it for the seven days after you install. That is what the seven days are for, and it is a better test than any description: how quiet a given step sounds depends on your phone, your headphones and what you are playing. Buy this key if the week convinced you, and not before.

The version of Volume Control: Quiet Dial distributed on F-Droid already includes every step at no charge, and this key is neither needed nor used there.
