Overall, while the app shows promise, persistent bugs and poor user experience diminish its reliability for serious marine navigation.

Uses high detail raster images of NOAA charts, which provide accurate navigation comparable to paper charts.
Useful features for navigation such as waypoint and route management when they work properly.
Able to download certain explorer charts for specific regions like the Bahamas.
Integrates map detail suitable for narrow, shallow waterways enabling confident night sailing.

Poor user interface and usability issues such as difficulty in setting routes, missing or confusing features, and unintuitive operations.
Subscription management is complicated on Android with no obvious in-app method to cancel auto-renewal, requiring users to cancel via the Play Store or other devices.
App instability and glitches including chart loading failures, flickering maps, overlapping charts, and crashes.
Limited or broken functionality in track recording, exporting waypoints/routes, and importing GPX files; advertised features often do not work.

Recent reviews

This app has the best AIS display I've ever seen across all apps and plotters giving phenomenal situational awareness. This is due to the velocity line (set length) being displayed on all targets and your boat unlike Navionics (endless line). I used it for 10 years on my iPad (great anchor alarm) but recently changed to an android Toughpad, where the app is useless as no charts are available for purchase and NMEA link to AIS is not possible. Only suitable for apple products.
