User Reviews

OpenTyrian's Android port delivers a nostalgic, ad-free, faithful mobile rendition with broad replay value across modes and ships, plus a Music Jukebox for the classic soundtrack. It runs well on mobile, making it a beloved retro port. The main drawbacks are touch/UI responsiveness issues on some devices and occasional problems with shop/ship/shield selection that can hinder navigation.

Pros

Nostalgic classic with high replay value across many modes and ships
Ad-free, faithful mobile port
Solid mobile performance that preserves the original feel
Music Jukebox to play the classic soundtrack

Cons

Touch controls and menu UI can be unresponsive on touchscreen; some options not selectable
In-game shop/ship/shield selection can be unusable or limited on some versions (unbuyable ships/weapons; shield types not selectable)
