User Reviews

Overall, users praise Canopie for quick, calming, bite-sized audio sessions that ease anxiety during pregnancy and postpartum, with practical techniques and a soothing host. The app is easy to use and unobtrusive, and offers community through stories and live classes. Main drawbacks are mother-focused marketing, occasional glitches and progress-tracking problems, delays in rewards, and slower narration. Despite these, it is viewed as a valuable mental-health resource for new parents.
Pros
  • Short, bite-sized audio lessons that are quick to listen to and easy to fit into daily life
  • Calming, soothing voice that helps reduce anxiety and supports mental health during pregnancy and postpartum
  • Practical, actionable techniques and information for managing anxiety and postpartum mental health
  • Simple, unobtrusive user experience with non-intrusive notifications and easy navigation
  • Sense of community and access to real experiences via stories from other moms and live classes
Cons
  • Marketing and branding issues for dads; app feels geared toward mothers, reducing perceived inclusivity for fathers
  • Occasional glitches and issues with progress tracking (chapters not saving, app glitches)
  • Incentives or gifts promised within the app sometimes not delivered automatically (requires contacting support)
  • Some users report slower narration/pacing in the audio

I've downloaded the app and there's choice for fathers. there's very little dad stories. the advertising at the front end is geared toward mothers. lots of dads will think that it's not for them. Dads would definitely benefit from this app but you need to speak to them in your marketing. it's a missed trick. Parents is such an umbrella term that research shows that dads don't think it's for them. would be great if it's use was changed. the app itself looks excellent so far.
