GoFix Crew

GoFix Vendor is the mobile app for GoFix service technicians and vendors. Use it to receive jobs, navigate to customers, share your location with your team, and complete jobs with photos and weather proof.

What you can do

• Receive jobs near you – See new job requests as they're posted. Jobs are ordered by distance so you can prioritize the closest ones.
• Fair queue by distance – The app uses your location to compute distance to each job. A queue ranks available technicians by distance so the closest gets first choice.
• Navigate to the customer – Turn-by-turn directions to the job site. Your current position is used to show driving distance and traffic-aware ETA so you and the customer know when you'll arrive.
• Stay visible to your team – When online, your location is shared with your vendor/team. Supervisors see each technician on a map for dispatch. Your position updates as you move.
• Prove job conditions – At arrival, capture the weather at the exact job location for warranty and dispute handling.
• Work through each job – View details, chat with the customer, confirm arrival with QR code, take before/after photos. Warranty is tracked automatically.
• Get notified – Push notifications for new jobs, messages, and status changes.

Why this app needs your precise location

GoFix Vendor needs precise (GPS) location to work as intended. Coarse or city-level location is not enough. How it's used:

1. Distance-based job queue – The system needs your exact position to compute your distance to each job and rank you vs other technicians. A rough area would make "nearest first" impossible. Precise coordinates keep the queue fair.

2. Accurate navigation and ETA – Turn-by-turn directions and ETA are calculated from your current position to the customer's address. Routing needs an accurate start point; approximate location gives wrong routes and misleading ETAs.

3. Real-time and team maps – Your position is shown on a map so you see yourself vs jobs, and your team sees where you are for dispatch. Precise location is required; rough location places you on the wrong street or block.

4. Weather at the job site – On arrival, the app can record the weather at the job location. Weather is highly local. Precise coordinates ensure the recorded conditions match the actual site for warranty and evidence.

5. Location updates when you're online – While available for jobs, your location is updated periodically so the queue and team map stay current. This requires precise location for an accurate, up-to-date position.

Location is used only for these purposes. You can turn off or limit location in device settings; the app will still open, but job allocation, navigation, ETA, team maps, and weather capture will not work correctly without precise location.
