User Reviews

Users appreciate the app's core functionality in monitoring and controlling their Goal Zero Yeti power stations, especially its remote monitoring capabilities. However, consistent connectivity problems, including difficulties with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections, frequent disconnections, and firmware update failures, significantly hinder user experience. The app's interface is considered confusing and unreliable, often requiring repeated attempts to connect and inconvenient manual device interactions. Additionally, lack of recent updates affects compatibility and feature completeness, such as insufficient battery detail and limited notification options. Overall, while the app has useful features, its reliability and usability need significant improvement.
Pros
  • When connected, the app provides useful battery level monitoring and control of the Yeti power stations.
  • Remote monitoring via the 'Anywhere' cloud connection is a valuable feature for users.
  • The app enables control of device ports and basic power management functions remotely.
  • Firmware updates have worked well when successfully applied through the app.
  • The app provides useful notifications and insights once properly connected to the device.
Cons
  • The app frequently experiences connectivity issues, including frequent disconnections and difficulties pairing with the Yeti device.
  • Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections are unreliable or not working as expected, with Bluetooth notably problematic.
  • The app sometimes fails to update firmware or disconnects from cloud services quickly after connecting.
  • The user interface and user experience are confusing and complicated, requiring multiple attempts to connect or reconnect.
  • Limited customization of notifications and lack of detailed battery information such as individual cell balance and charge rates.
  • The app often requires users to physically interact with the Yeti device to reconnect, which is inconvenient.
  • The app has not been updated frequently, leading to compatibility issues with newer Android versions and devices.

Yet3000x keeps shutting off AC. It turns itself off . The app disconnected from cloud after 5 seconds. Tried to connect through Bluetooth and also direct Wi-Fi connect and neither worked to get the app running. Our routers go down.
