LiveStatus is a notification helper designed for Android 16 that listens for media playback and notifications from specified apps, turning important statuses into continuously displayed Live Updates. This allows you to quickly track currently playing content, Discord voice channels, Microsoft Teams calls, countdowns, reading and fitness activities, food delivery, rides, and plant status without repeatedly opening the app.

Supported scenarios include all apps that provide Android MediaSession and media notifications, as well as Discord server voice channels, ongoing Microsoft Teams meetings, Google Clock, Google Recorder, YPT, Hevy, Strava, iPASS MONEY, Taiwan Pay, YouBike, foodpanda, 55688, Uber, Uber Eats, and Pikmin Bloom.

[Media Playback] When the system's preferred active media session is playing, but the source notification has not yet become a Live Update, LiveStatus will additionally display the song title, artist, album, and available controls for skipping tracks, playing, pausing, or podcast rewind/fast forward for 15 seconds. Paused content is retained for 1 minute for easy resumption; it is immediately cleared after stopping, playback errors, the session disappearing, or the source notification disappearing. Android does not allow modification of other apps' notifications, so the original media notification is still retained; whether backup notifications are promoted by the system depends on device support.

[Discord] After joining a Discord server voice channel, LiveStatus mirrors the source connection status, server/channel name, and the three call actions provided by the source; it is immediately cleared after leaving the channel or the source notification being removed. The source does not have a reliable start time, so call duration is not displayed. The original Discord notification is still retained; private/group calls and incoming calls in the ringtone are currently not supported; this feature can be disabled separately in the Media tab.

[Microsoft Teams] After joining a Teams meeting, LiveStatus displays the other party's name, call duration, and mute/hang-up options provided by the source. It is cleared immediately upon leaving the meeting or when the source notification is removed. This first version only supports ongoing meetings and does not handle ringing, missed calls, or general message notifications. This feature can be disabled separately in the Media tab.

[Google Clock] When Google Clock's native Live Update is not active, the primary countdown timer is synchronized to a backup Live Update. If the source notification is already displayed in real-time by the system, a repeat reminder is not created. It updates synchronously when the countdown starts, pauses, resumes, or adds one minute; the reminder is automatically cleared after the countdown ends or the source notification is removed.

[Google Recorder] When recording with Google Recorder using the Traditional Chinese or English interface, LiveStatus displays the current accumulated recording time. When paused, it consistently displays the recorded length and synchronizes the resume and save options provided by the source. Initialization notifications are not displayed, and they are automatically cleared after the recording notification is removed. This feature can be disabled separately in the Tools tab.

【YPT】
After YPT starts recording reading time, LiveStatus will continuously display the current accumulated time. If the source notification is already displayed in real-time by the system, no repeat reminders will be created; it will automatically clear after stopping the timer or removing the source notification. This feature can be turned off separately in the Tools tab.

【Hevy】
During Hevy workouts, it synchronously displays the current or next exercise, sets, weight, repetitions, and the operation provided by the source; rest between sets is displayed with a Live Update timer countdown. It will automatically clear after finishing the workout and removing the source notification; this feature can be turned off separately in the Exercise tab.

【Strava】
When Strava records activity, LiveStatus will use the official notification title to display the exercise type, elapsed time, and distance, without guessing the distance format. The Traditional Chinese and English sources for "In Progress," "Waiting for GPS," and "Pause" text will use the same language; it will automatically clear after removing the source notification; this feature can be turned off separately in the Exercise tab.

【iPASS MONEY】
When a ride code transaction is detected and the user has not yet exited the station, LiveStatus will display a disembarkation reminder. Click the reminder to quickly activate iPASS MONEY. The reminder will automatically remove itself after the exit transaction is detected.

【Taiwan Pay】 When a MRT station boarding notification is detected, LiveStatus will display a ride code shortcut. Click the reminder to quickly activate Taiwan mobile payment. The reminder will automatically remove itself after the MRT station alighting notification is detected.

【YouBike】 After renting a bike, the app displays the ride time, current estimated fare, and the next fare change time. The app automatically ends upon returning the bike. The app will identify the bike as 2.0 or 2.0E based on the notification bike number and supports official general membership rates and local government subsidies for all YouBike service areas in Taiwan. If the built-in station index cannot determine the service area, the reminder can be used to select the area for this ride. After manually selecting the area and returning the bike normally, the app may display a negligible station improvement notification; the de-identified station report will only leave the device after you click it and confirm the email in the Email App. In Chiayi County and City, the limited-time subsidy applies based on the rental date, while Taitung uses its own local rate. Users can choose to allow "alarms and reminders" to ensure that rides already started update as accurately as possible before the fee change deadline; rides can still be used even without permission, but may be delayed during Doze periods. The fee does not include TPASS, senior citizen/disability/student, Tainan Citizen Card, or other special statuses or cards, transfer discounts, and inter-regional dispatch fees. The actual amount is subject to YouBike's official results.


【foodpanda】 When a delivery partner departs, LiveStatus will show a "delivery in progress" status; when the delivery partner approaches, it will update to "arriving soon." The reminder will be automatically removed after the order is delivered or canceled.


【55688】 After accepting an order, the driver's license plate and arrival reminder will be displayed. The status will update when the vehicle arrives at the pick-up point and will be automatically removed after the trip is completed. The license plate is only processed in real-time on the device and is not uploaded or permanently stored.


[Uber] LiveStatus displays your Uber ride progress based on notification content, including statuses such as driver accepted, almost there, arrived, boarded, and trip completed. When reliably identifiable, it also displays pick-up time, pick-up location, vehicle information, drop-off location, and a four-digit PIN.

General Uber trips currently support English notification text; Uber yellow cards support Traditional Chinese notification statuses such as "Professional driver on the way," "Nearby," and "Arriving soon."

[Uber Eats] LiveStatus displays your Uber Eats order progress based on notification content, including:

・Order received

・Order being prepared

・Picking up food

・Heading to your location

・Almost there

Supports Traditional Chinese and English Uber Eats custom-style persistent notifications; English sources will display the above stages in English and will stop notifying you when the order is delivered or the persistent notification for that source is removed.

If the notification contains a reliably identifiable four-digit PIN, verification code, pickup code, or delivery code, LiveStatus will display it in Live Update. If it cannot be reliably identified, it will not be displayed to avoid misuse of estimated arrival time, order number, or other numbers.

【Pikmin Bloom】 When LiveStatus detects that Pikmin Bloom is planting flowers in the background, it will display a reminder to help you remember to stop planting and prevent petals from running out. The reminder will be automatically removed once the source notification is removed or no longer meets the planting status.

【Permissions】 LiveStatus requires notification access permissions to read notification content from media playback and specified apps and convert it into real-time status reminders. Discord voice channels and Microsoft Teams calls are enabled by default and can be disabled separately in the media tab. Media features are enabled by default on Google/Pixel devices; for Samsung, Xiaomi, and other OEMs, they are usually disabled by default due to existing system media interfaces, but can still be manually enabled in the Media tab, and user selection will be retained. YPT Reading can be disabled separately in the Tools tab, and Hevy Fitness can be disabled separately in the Exercise tab. YouBike offers the option to allow "Alarms and Reminders," which is only used to recalculate local notifications at fare change boundaries; it will not display alarms, play sounds, connect to the internet, or perform background synchronization. All parsing is done on the device; the app does not log into your media, communications, delivery, payment, ride-hailing, reading, fitness, or gaming accounts, nor does it operate third-party services on your behalf.

【Privacy First】
・All notification identification is performed only on your device.

・Notification content and PIN will not be uploaded, sold, or shared.

・Notification content and PIN will not be permanently stored.

・YouBike site reports must be confirmed by you via the Email App and do not include bike number, rental/return time, full notification text, or payment information.

・When reliably identifiable, the PIN will be displayed in the live status notification.

・You can turn off notification access at any time in your Android system settings.

System Requirements: Android 16 or later. Live Update display method depends on device support.
