Features & Capabilities

Gita Press is a historic religious publishing house founded in 1923 in Kolkata by Brahmalina Jayadayal Goyandka (Sethji). Propagation of the Gita was his lifelong vow, and the press was established to spread its teachings for the benefit of all humankind. It is registered under the Registration of Society Act in the name of Gobind Bhawan - Karyalaya, Kolkata, as a foremost religious organization.

Its management is controlled by a Trust Board. The main function is to provide religious books at a reasonably low price. Although prices are fixed even lower than actual cost, the organization does not accept donations or financial assistance from anyone.
