Grove Pale

Grove Pale is a calm yet thrilling arcade defense game set inside a glowing moonlit forest. You are the last wisp of the Pale Grove, a tiny spark of light bound to a sacred tree. When the Blight drifts down from the dark canopy, only your glow stands between the grove and silence.

Drag anywhere on the screen to steer your wisp along the roots of the great tree. Your light never rests, loosing orbs of wispfire at anything that dares descend. Each fallen creature bursts into petals, the living currency of the grove. Sweep them up to fuel your powers between runs.

Every wave brings new shapes of Blight. Small shades drift in slowly, swift triangles weave and dart, heavy blocks crash straight toward the roots, and once every five waves a radiant Warden descends to test how far your grove can endure. Survive long enough and the grove answers with gifts of its own. Catch a Bloom to ignite every enemy on screen. Catch a Veil to wrap the tree in a glowing shield. Catch Dawn to slow the world to a crawl. Catch Starfall to split your wispfire into a storm of tiny stars.

Back at the Grove Vault you spend the petals you have earned to sharpen the wisp for the next journey. Wispfire burns brighter, Cadence lets you fire faster, Grove Roots strengthen the tree, Petal Call draws falling petals toward you, Aura extends the blessings of every power you catch, and Starfall adds extra orbs to every shot. Each upgrade has many levels, letting you shape the wisp to the way you love to play.

Grove Pale is built for quick sessions that slowly stretch into long, dreamlike runs. Controls are gentle, a single finger is enough, but the waves climb steadily and the Warden rewards those who learn to dance. Your petals, upgrades, best wave and best score are saved automatically, so every run adds to the story of your grove.
