User Reviews

Users praise Casefile: Tokyo Noir - Otome for its compelling story, stylish art, and engaging characters. However, many express frustration with the pay-to-play system that restricts important choices behind expensive in-app currency purchases. The scarcity of rubies and the need to watch many ads to earn points diminish the experience. Additionally, some face app loading issues and find the endings less satisfying. Overall, while the narrative and visuals captivate players, the monetization approach and performance issues are common pain points.
Pros
  • Compelling and engaging storylines with thriller and romantic elements.
  • Beautiful and impressive art style and graphics.
  • Variety in characters, providing romantic interests with unique personalities.
  • Smooth and enjoyable reading experience with good writing and suspense.
  • Ability to play for free, albeit limited, offering some content without payment.
Cons
  • Heavy reliance on pay-to-play mechanics limiting premium choices and progressing effectively.
  • In-game currency (rubies/gems) is scarce and difficult to obtain, causing frustration.
  • Some important story choices require payment, with free options often being rude or subpar.
  • Loading and performance issues reported on some devices causing the app not to open.
  • Endings and character development can be unsatisfactory or less romantic than expected.

Story is good, but with all Genius games, it's p2p. Takes 3 days of watching ads for enough points to get one premium choice. Mini game is just a F U to gamer. After 27 spins, I finally won and got 3 points!!! 120 points for ten gems and each choice is almost 30 gems.

I have been playing these games to understand woman better. I really enjoyed this one. The main character is my type and the guys are cool. I found Rui to be the most reliable. I found it strange when the main character called Rui selfless because he does what most men want to do but few women will allow. I guess the writer doesn't understand that men have evolved to be providers and doesn't understand how much men need the helpers high.
