The history of your city in movies in one click!

All you need is any gadget at hand and the augmented reality app Opera AR. This is a unique tool that will help you learn the history of one of the most iconic places in Novosibirsk - the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. Users will see with their own eyes what happened at this very place more than 65 years ago!

The application was created on the basis of films from the archives of the City Documentary Film Museum, which show the events of 1955-1987. Among them are the New Year 1955 in Novosibirsk, the premiere of the ballet Don Quixote, the 25th anniversary of the theater and much more. Black and white fragments convey the spirit of the time and allow the user to feel like a direct participant in the events. Feel involved in the history of Novosibirsk and look at the main square of the city through the eyes of your parents, grandparents, who, perhaps, remember all these moments firsthand. Also, the Opera AR application will complement the excursions, make them interactive and interesting, which will definitely be appreciated not only by the residents of Novosibirsk, but also by the guests of the city.

How it works? A few simple steps:
- Download and launch the Opera AR application;
- Stand on the edge of the stairs opposite the main entrance to the Opera House;
- Point the camera at the building and combine its columns with the landmarks on the screen;
- A projector and a screen will appear right on the facade of the theater, as well as - "Film Library" in the upper right corner;
- Select a film from the available films in the "Library of films" and drag it to the projector;
- Start full screen mode by clicking on the button in the lower right corner;
- Enjoy the movie!
