Users praise Meshtastic for offline mesh communication and an easy-to-use core experience with active development. However, they repeatedly report Android-specific regressions after updates, Bluetooth pairing instability, a confusing UI, removal or breakage of features (GPS tracking, node map, signal readings), and broader stability issues. The concept and messaging work in ideal setups, but reliability across devices and updates is a common concern. A more stable Android experience and improved UI navigation are highly desired.

Recent reviews

The constant (1) unread message bug is annoying enough to subtract one star. The Bluetooth pairing could also use an overhaul (even when disconnected you often ned to start a reconnect (that never succeeds) and manually disconnect it before you can actually reconnect via Bluetooth or web).
