Stellar Employee Portal is a robust, Django-powered Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and Payroll backend designed to seamlessly integrate with a dedicated mobile application. Engineered to automate complex timekeeping and payroll calculations, the portal provides administrators and employees with a secure, highly scalable environment for managing enterprise-level workforce data.

Core Architecture & Features:

Mobile API & Biometric Authentication: Features a secure RESTful API tailored for mobile endpoints. It enforces strict device limits and validates employee punches using GPS geofencing (radius-based office locations) and OpenCV-powered facial recognition (live selfies matched against reference photos) to prevent time fraud and spoofing.

Automated Time & Attendance (T&A) Engine: An advanced backend pairing engine automatically processes raw mobile punches into precise Daily Time Records (DTR). It dynamically calculates regular hours, tardiness, undertime, overtime, and night differentials based on customizable, shift-specific policies and dynamic holiday classifications.

Dynamic Approval Matrix: Implements a multi-tiered (Tier 1 and Tier 2) hierarchical approval workflow for Overtime (OT), Leaves, Official Business (OB), and Missed Punches. This matrix is highly adaptable, functioning at both the company-wide and individual employee levels.

Comprehensive Masterdata Management: Centralizes critical employee records, encompassing employment status, tax statuses, government identification (SSS, TIN, PhilHealth, HDMF), pay schedules, and charting types.

Advanced Payroll & Compensation Configuration: Supports flexible payroll cutoff schedules (weekly, semi-monthly, monthly) and automates non-taxable allowances, other compensations, and scheduled deductions (e.g., loans). It calculates exact deduction schedules based on start/end dates and automatically tracks remaining balances.

Secure Token Authentication: Utilizes custom-built hexadecimal session tokens tied directly to unique employee IDs, isolating mobile access from the standard administrative dashboard for strict role-based security.
