Garmin Motorize is a motorcycle-focused navigation app that delivers turn-by-turn directions via voice, live traffic updates, PhotoReal Junction View, rider alerts, fuel tracking, and real-time weather. When connected to your bike, navigation can be projected onto the meter panel while maps stay on your smartphone.

The app works with MyRide-Link, MyRide, Y-connect, or directly as Motorize for USB connections. It supports Yamaha models like TMAX, NIKEN GT, and TRACER 9 GT variants. A subscription provides maps for multiple regions; note that the monthly plan ends on 2025-03-20, after which maps become free to download (Japan maps may still incur update fees). Some features are not available in all regions, and prolonged GPS use can affect battery life.

Recent reviews

Such a bad app. For a company who specialise in navigation to produce something so bad and have the audacity to make it paid subscription is embarrassing. Clearly don't use their own products. icons make no sense, routing is poor, maps difficult to preview, phone screen has to stay on to mirror to Tmax screen, can't find some post codes, journey time always way off. It's like they haven't even tried. Only used because there is no alternative to use on TMax screen.

Once I read a few forums and reviews it was best to connect my smartphone to the bikes ccu with a usb-c to usb-a lead and bluetooth, wifi was just awful, had to enter password every time even though I had the connect automatically ticked. What would give this 5 stars is if the motorise app could be available on a Carplay/Android auto device then your phone could be stowed away safely and you can do all the functionality on a securely mounted dedicated screen.
