Review summary

Reviews broadly praise PCMark for Android as a solid, easy-to-use benchmarking tool with a well-designed interface. However, recurring issues appear: the app seems outdated and unreliable on some devices, crashes or shows white screens, and some testers worry about installing extra software outside Google Play. A few users also question the authenticity of workloads and report difficulty viewing their own scores. Overall, strong positives are tempered by reliability, update, and transparency concerns.
Pros
  • Generally praised as an excellent/very good benchmarking app.
  • Easy to install and use with a straightforward workflow.
  • Well-designed, user-friendly interface and reliable testing experience.
Cons
  • Outdated app with poor device recognition; not updated for years.
  • Crashes or white-screen failures on some devices.
  • Requires installing extra tests outside Google Play (security concern).
  • Workload tests appear to be video playback, not real benchmarking.
  • Score details are unclear or show others' results instead of the user's own device.

Meh. Some pretty graphs and pseudo webpage activity along with photo and video 'editing'. No doubt it loads the system but results are rather meaningless. So I got a low low score, but the onscreen tests appeared fine and seamless? I need to test my system components to see if something has degraded and this tells me nothing that my device cant already natively. Pros: No ads or predatory tactics (well done), does what is says, no fuss install and run. Cons: meaningless stats, limited value.
