Orchard Memory

Orchard Memory - a matching game for one player where face-down tiles are laid out on a wooden board and each tile hides a fruit image. A tap turns one tile face up and a second tap turns another; when the two images are the same, the pair remains open and is counted, and when they differ, both tiles turn back after a short pause, so the place of each seen image has to be kept in mind. Each round opens with a brief preview of the whole board, after which all tiles close and the count begins. The sign above the board shows how many moves have been made and how many pairs are already gathered out of the total for the current round, while the sign below shows the current round number. Two or more matches made one after another bring up a chain notice over the board, and a single miss drops that chain back to zero. The board grows every few rounds, from twelve tiles in three columns up to thirty tiles in five columns, and on the larger boards the same fruit kinds repeat across several pairs. There is no timer and no way to fail: a round ends only when every pair has been gathered, and the closing panel shows the number of steps taken and the longest chain of that round, with a choice to move on to the next round or go back to the menu. A round can be put on hold at any moment through the button in the top corner, which allows continuing, replaying the same board or leaving to the menu. Progress is kept between launches: the current round number and the set of fruits found so far, shown on a separate screen where each discovered fruit takes its own frame and the rest stay face-down. Settings hold a switch for the vibration response on taps and matches, a line with the current round and the number of fruits found, and an option to clear saved progress after a confirmation.
