Winter Match

Winter Match is a Match-3 puzzle game set in a calm, frosty winter world. The player swaps adjacent tiles on an 8×8 grid to line up three or more of the same symbol—snowflakes, snowmen, mittens, scarves, ice cubes, gifts, pine trees, and bells. Each swap is allowed only if it creates at least one match; matched tiles clear at once and new tiles drop in with no animations. The mood is quiet and focused: no cartoon style, no neon colours, no visual effects, just clear logic and a winter theme.

The game is built around twenty levels with rising difficulty. Early levels ask for lower target scores and give more moves; later ones demand higher scores in fewer moves. Levels unlock one after another, and each stores the player’s best score and a star rating from one to three based on moves left when the target is reached. Beating a level opens a short victory message and the choice to continue to the next level or jump to the level select screen. Running out of moves without reaching the target shows a simple defeat message with options to retry or go back to level select.

Design stays minimal and winter-themed throughout. The palette uses ice blue, white, silver, deep navy, and soft grey. The interface uses rounded panels and a light “frosted” look, with no animations, no bouncing, and no transitions—everything updates instantly. A static winter landscape can serve as the background so the game feels like a calm, elegant puzzle in a snowy setting rather than a loud or childish experience.

Beyond the main puzzle, the game includes achievements that unlock as the player progresses—for example, finishing the first level, scoring above certain thresholds, completing a set number of levels, or winning with several moves left. Settings let the player turn sound on or off, switch between light and dark winter themes, and optionally reset all progress. All of this is saved locally so progress and preferences persist between sessions.

The result is a production-ready Match-3 that fits short sessions and a relaxed mood. It’s aimed at players who want a clear, no-fuss puzzle with a consistent winter look and no distracting motion or effects—ideal for a quick, satisfying break anywhere.
