Freestyle Recorder v 3.0

Capture your voice, instruments, and musical ideas with Freestyle Recorder. Record rap, singing, guitar, piano, and other instruments, mix them with your own beats, and create performance videos from your phone.

Whether you’re practicing a verse, recording an instrumental part, building a demo, or expressing what’s on your mind, Freestyle Recorder gives you a place to start creating.

RECORD VOCALS AND INSTRUMENTS
Capture vocals, acoustic guitar, piano, percussion, and other sounds through your phone’s microphone or a compatible external microphone. Record electronic instruments through a compatible audio interface supported by your Android device.

Import a beat or backing track and record your performance alongside it. Save a freestyle, develop a hook, or capture an instrumental idea before it slips away.

BUILD YOUR MIX
Combine vocals, instrument recordings, beats, and selected audio tracks. Adjust levels, work with source waveforms, and refine timing, trims, and fades. Preview the balance and save your mix project to continue later.

SHAPE YOUR SOUND
Explore vocal pitch correction with key, scale, and retune controls. Keep original and pitch-corrected vocal recordings for more control over your sound. Use EQ, filters, gain, and limiting to adjust the character and balance of your recordings.

CREATE PERFORMANCE VIDEOS
Record video alongside your audio to capture a vocal performance, guitar session, piano piece, or rehearsal. Open your takes in Video Studio to preview your performance, trim footage, and prepare an edited video with its soundtrack.

RECORD FROM MULTIPLE ANGLES
Connect compatible devices on the same local network for coordinated recording sessions. Bring session takes into the multi-camera editor, preview multiple angles, and choose camera views for your edit. Completed takes can transfer between connected session devices.

KEEP YOUR WORK ORGANIZED
Find vocal and instrument recordings, imported audio, mixes, and videos in your library. Reuse recent files and open video takes in Studio to keep working on your ideas.

EXPORT AND SHARE
Export audio mixes as WAV or MP3. Choose WAV export options for your next editing step or use MP3 for smaller files. Export edited videos and share your work through compatible apps.

WORK YOUR WAY
Use split view on supported devices to keep another app alongside Freestyle Recorder. External microphones, instrument inputs, and monitoring options depend on your Android device, adapters, and connected audio equipment. A MIDI-only connection does not carry instrument audio.

MADE FOR CREATIVE EXPRESSION
Freestyle Recorder was created by a U.S. Navy veteran who believes music can offer a meaningful outlet for expression, reflection, and connection. Its purpose is to help people find their voice and make room for creativity—through words, melodies, rhythms, and the instruments they play.

Camera features require camera permission, and audio recording requires microphone permission. Multi-device sessions require compatible devices and a local network. When you join a recording session, completed takes may be copied to other participants’ devices.

Find your sound. Express yourself. Record your moment.
