forWalking: Photo Walk Tracker

forWalking is a walking tracker and step counter that keeps the story of every walk: your GPS route and the photos you took, each one pinned to the exact spot on the map. Keep a travel journal and turn any walk into a self-guided walking tour you can take offline or send to a friend. No account, everything stays on your phone.

WALKING TRACKER AND STEP COUNTER
• One tap to start. Steps, distance, time, pace and energy, live.
• Recording keeps going in the background, phone in pocket, screen locked, on city walks, hikes and runs.
• A live notification keeps your walk in view.
• Home screen widgets: a slideshow of your walk photos and the walk in progress.
• Distance and goal alerts with sound and optional vibration. Your music only dips for a moment.

PHOTO WALKS ON THE MAP
• Shoot with the quick in-app camera or your phone's camera.
• Every photo is pinned to the spot where you took it, with time and place, turning your route into a photo map.
• Only photos taken during the walk are added, so each moment stays where it happened.

TRAVEL JOURNAL, ATLAS AND REPLAY
• Each walk becomes a trail report: GPS route, numbers, distance markers, photos and your notes.
• Replay a walk and watch the photos appear where you took them.
• Journal keeps your days as a walking diary with photos. Atlas shows every walk on one map.

EVERY WAY OF GETTING AROUND
• Walking, running, cycling and driving are recognized automatically, and ferry crossings are marked.
• Or pick bus, tram, subway, ferry, cable car or plane yourself. Only walking and running count toward your walking stats.

SELF-GUIDED WALKING TOURS, ALSO OFFLINE
• Turn a walk into a walking tour with one tap: route, stops, photos and notes.
• Guided walking shows the next stop, the distance left and turn hints like "in 75 m, bear left". Stray off the route and it lets you know. At each stop, see the author's photo and note.
• Route, stops and photos stay with you offline.
• Open Google Maps for directions to the start.

SEND A TOUR TO A FRIEND
• Share a tour as one .fwtour file via WhatsApp, email or any app. Your friend previews it, adds it and walks the same route with guidance. No account needed.

SHARE YOUR WALK
• Photo cards for stories (9:16), posts (4:5) and square.
• Videos where the route draws itself and photos appear, with optional music.
• Export your GPS route as GPX or KML.

MAPS AND LOOK
Clear drawn maps from OpenStreetMap, no satellite imagery. Light and dark themes, map themes, 12 or 24 hour clock. A design inspired by Swiss trail signs, measuring instruments and analog film. In 20 languages.

WHO IT IS FOR
City explorers and travelers, photo walkers and creators, everyday walkers who want a simple pedometer, runners and hikers, and anyone who plans routes for others or keeps a travel journal.

PRIVACY
A walking app with no account and no sign-in. Your location, routes, photos and notes stay on your phone unless you share them. Recording and tour data work offline; the map needs a connection. Anonymous statistics and crash reports, with no location, routes, photos or personal details, help improve the app; switch them off in Settings.

FREE AND PREMIUM
Recording, routes, maps, replay, trail cards, and making and walking tours from your own walks are free and stay free. The free version shows your last 10 walks in Journal and Atlas (older ones wait in the archive) and 3 photos per walk.
Premium unlocks the full Journal, unlimited photos, sending tours and adding tours you receive, personal alerts by distance, steps or time, and sunrise, sunset and golden hour times.

Premium is available as a weekly auto-renewing subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. You can manage or cancel it at any time in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions.
