Bihar VanMitra(बिहार वनमित्रा)

Bihar VanMitra (बिहार वनमित्रा) is the official mobile app from the Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of Bihar to support the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan and the Mission 2.51 crore plantation campaign. The app mobilizes citizens and stakeholders to increase awareness and expand green cover across Bihar by providing quick access to department services and transparent progress monitoring.

Users including individuals, farmers, NGOs, industries, PSUs and government officials can register, request saplings by species and quantity, select nearest nurseries for collection, manage plantation site information, and upload location-tagged photos. Site monitoring officers can update progress and officials can view cumulative reports on an in-app dashboard. Planned future enhancements will expand services further to strengthen the department–citizen interface and support large-scale afforestation efforts.
