Basis Bijbel

Basis Bijbel is a user-friendly Bible translation written in simple Dutch by J. Kleyn. Designed to be accessible for novice Bible readers and people facing difficulties such as dyslexia, this version uses basic vocabulary and short sentences to enhance understanding. It replaces complex Bible terms with more common words and provides clarifying notes to explain context and connections.

Originally published online in 2013 and now also available in book form, Basis Bijbel is a re-translation from original Biblical languages, using the old King James Version as a foundation and consulting multiple other translations to ensure accuracy. This extension allows users to easily access a clear, comprehensible Bible in Dutch, perfect for study or personal reading.
