5NN Mobile is a field coordination tool for licensed amateur radio operators who take part in volunteer weather-spotter and emergency communication nets.

When severe weather threatens, spotters in the field and net control need to stay coordinated. 5NN Mobile keeps everyone on the same page with live operator maps, structured reporting, and National Weather Service alerts — all in one app built by hams, for hams.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Join a net — Check in to an active net run by your club or group and see who else is on the air.

• Share your position (optional) — Turn on Live Tracking to share your GPS location with your active net so net control and other operators can see spotter positions on a live map in real time. Tracking only runs during an active net and stops the moment you go off duty. You're always in control.

• File weather & hazard reports — Report hail, wind, flooding, tornadoes, damage, and more with location, severity, and notes. Reports appear instantly on the shared net map.

• Stay ahead of the weather — View active National Weather Service alerts for your areas using SAME (county) codes, so you know what's happening where you are.

• Set your status — Mark yourself as Mobile, Stationary, or Emergency so net control always knows your role and availability.

• Built for clubs — Club admins can create nets, save reusable net presets, manage rosters, and run organized operations from one place.

ABOUT LOCATION

5NN Mobile uses your device location to share your position with your active net and to tag your weather reports. Background location is used only for Live Tracking while you are checked in to an active net, and only after you enable it. You can stop sharing at any time.

5NN Mobile is intended for licensed amateur radio operators and weather-spotting volunteers. A valid amateur radio callsign is required to participate in nets.
