HOW TO PLAY
Royal Rang is played by four players in two partnerships, with partners seated opposite each other.
Dealing: Cards are dealt in three rounds—5, then 4, then 4—giving each player a total of 13 cards.
Calling Rang: After the first five cards, the Rang Caller chooses the trump suit and leads the first trick.
Playing Tricks: Follow the leading suit if you can. If you do not have a matching card, you may play another suit or use a Rang card. The highest card of the leading suit wins unless Rang is played, in which case the highest Rang card takes the trick.
Double Sar Rule: Winning one trick is not enough. The same player must win two consecutive tricks to collect the accumulated Sars for their team. If wins alternate between players, the Sars remain in the centre until someone wins two in a row.
