BUILT ON THE PUBLISHED RULES

The fee and interest ceilings come from the National Credit Act, No. 34 of 2005:

• Initiation fee: R165 plus 10% of the amount above R1 000, capped at R1 050 and also capped at 15% of the loan, before VAT
• Monthly service fee: capped at R60 before VAT, which is R69 with it
• Short-term credit and unsecured credit carry different interest ceilings, quoted per month and per year respectively
