In the APP of the German Slate Museum in Ludwigsstadt, the focus is on the rock of the year 2019. Travel with this digital companion to the working and living times of the slate quarries and table makers in the Thuringian-Franconian Slate Mountains.

The tour takes you into an almost forgotten time. On board are the slate workers, who laboriously tear the natural product slate from the ground, but also the slate splitters, who split millimeter-thin slabs out of thick slate rock. In the end, different types of slate are turned into works of art such as roofing slates, slates, pencils or entire houses... and in the museum you can touch all of this if you want!

In the APP you can choose an overall tour or individual stations and explore all levels of our museum using multimedia. The digital application also offers information about your visit to our house and the region around Ludwigsstadt.
